The time has come to make the trek to Las Vegas for WPPI (aka...the annual mecca for photographers around the world!)

This year, we are celebrating a fabulous year by taking the entire Photogen Inc crew out to Vegas! This week is going to be filled with scoping out the new hot products, seeing old friend, meeting new ones, shooting some OH-SO-FABULOUS images and...PARTIES!!!

Operation Inspiration: Snow Shoot!

Yes! It is time for another 'Operation Inspiration' episode! These little missions are to help us all push our limits with our cameras and shoot things we normally wouldn't - even in the dead of winter! A couple weeks ago, the Photogen Inc crew went out to photograph some Minnesota Winter Landscapes. However, we stumbled upon an abandon building that totally had a blair-witch feeling to it - complete with a dead rabbit and mummified cat! We also explored the Back Forty, which was a ton of fun!

The most interesting part of this shoot for me was seeing everyone's images. We were all in the same place, shooting the same things, but we all have such a different perspective on things! Check it out...

Inspiration: Winter!

Yesterday, I had a photo shoot in Wisconsin and on my drive to our neighbor state, a heavy fog had rolled in and left this BEAUTIFUL frost on the bare trees! I just haaaaaaad to pull over and take a few shots!

Where were YOU?

Today we made history. I've had goosebumps all day, because this is one of the most influential days of our generation! It's also one of those days where you will remember EXACTLY where you were when President Obama was sworn in.

I was shooting a boutique for a magazine article and I walked into the store and everyone gathered around the computer screen to watch.

There were cheers and the sense of hope was restored to the country.

This is embarrassing! In fact, I can't even believe I am BLOGGING about this! But, I AM competitive,  so here it goes...

Apparently I've been nominated for the 'HOTTNESS' award put out by Vita.mn, which supposedly names the hottest guy and girl in the city! So, if you think I am worthy of this silly little title - Click Here to Vote!

Film...and the new Mamiya!

I brought along my new Mamiya medium format film camera along on my adventures this last month! When I took the film in to get developed, I realized that I was soooooo excited to see what I had created! There is something VERY special about film - and the process of WAITING for your images! This was also the first time I used this camera, so it was a test to see how well it worked - and I am in LOVE with this camera! Seriously, it's so cool!

WOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! FASHION FIGHT NIGHT 3 is coming up and I am soooooo excited!!! We had our first team meeting last night and it is going to ROCK! We have some killer plans for this year, so make sure and BUY YOUR TICKETS!!

What is FASHION FIGHT NIGHT?

It is a LIVE photo COMPETITION between 6 of the TOP PHOTOGRAPHERS in the Twin Cities! The shindig is put on by Metro Magazine and the energy is AMAZING! The battles take place in 2 boxing rings and our photos are shown STRAIGHT out of camera for the judges to see!

The best part - proceeds from your tickets go to the LEAD Foundation, which is a SUPER awesome charity!
