This is embarrassing! In fact, I can't even believe I am BLOGGING about this! But, I AM competitive, so here it goes...

Film...and the new Mamiya!

I brought along my new Mamiya medium format film camera along on my adventures this last month! When I took the film in to get developed, I realized that I was soooooo excited to see what I had created! There is something VERY special about film - and the process of WAITING for your images! This was also the first time I used this camera, so it was a test to see how well it worked - and I am in LOVE with this camera! Seriously, it's so cool!

I'm obsessed with this image! This girl looked back at the PERFECT moment - I'm in LOVE!

Shoot film, it is so refreshing!

It is a LIVE photo COMPETITION between 6 of the TOP PHOTOGRAPHERS in the Twin Cities! The shindig is put on by Metro Magazine and the energy is AMAZING! The battles take place in 2 boxing rings and our photos are shown STRAIGHT out of camera for the judges to see!

The best part - proceeds from your tickets go to the LEAD Foundation, which is a SUPER awesome charity!

Photographers!!!!! There is a GREAT new resource out there for you from Dane Sanders! Dane has had a HUUUGE year! First, he published his book Fast Track Photographers, which I have read, loved and HIGHLY recommend any photographer to read - especially those photographers who are young in their career or are just starting to think about taking their dreams to the next level and starting their own business! I also encourage all established photographers to read the book, because it hits home on quite a few issues that are important for us all to remember when running our business! Secondly, Dane has just launched ASKDANE.COM, which is a great website he started where he will have videos and podcasts and free coaching sessions to help you with your business! I am totally pumped about what Dane is doing, becuase he is helping our industry in a positive way (and the dude is quite hilarious!) CHECK IT OUT!

This new years eve was very special! My grandmother turned 90 years old!!!! 9-0! That's CRAZY! We all went out for dinner to celebrate and you could just tell she was having the time of her life - and she is looking AMAZING for 90 years! (Good genes, I hope I get those!;0) Grandma is not only 'Grandma' to me, but to everyone who knows her, so - WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Bumper Riding!

They call it bumper riding - and it is SO. MUCH. FUN! I went to Whistler this last week to go snowboarding and there was NO snow! Seriously...the rest of the pacific northwest got heaps and heaps of snow. Whistler had none. So, we brought it back to the city and had the best riding on the streets! I've never done this before, but it was SO much fun! Here are a few sweet shots!

I'm now on my way to Los Angeles to shoot an AMAZING wedding! I hope everyone had a VERY happy holiday!

Oh Christmas Tree!

I'm out west! Woo hoo! I decided to take a mini-holiday before shooting in LA after Christmas and then back to Minneapolis to really focus on some business things for 2009! Today's adventure was to find the perfect Christmas tree in the mountains! We found it!

Here is a silly little clip from the 5D Mark II video....I don't have the Juddster here to make me a 'pro' video, so this was what I could whip up on my own (And yes, I did forget to turn on the sound and yes it looks shitty compared to what the 5D video really looks like!) BUT! I think it's hilarious...
