Cheers To Bryan// Our Favorite Art Director!

Tomorrow, Minneapolis will say goodbye to, in my opinion, one of the coolest Art Directors around! Bryan Nanista has been our right hand man at Metro Magazine for quite a few years now, and he's moving to pursue other ventures and, of course, live the dream! Bryan has always been one of our all-time-favorite people to work with. He's crazy, he's fun, and ultimately, pushed us and believed in us to produce shoots for this city! So, as we bid adieu to Bryan, we wanted to simply say thank you for all of the amazing opportunities and memories you have given us over the years! You continually made us laugh, explore and share our work with this wonderful city through your amazing mind and design!

If you're having a beer tonight, or tomorrow, give a big CHEERS to Bryan! We are so proud of you for all you've accomplished and all that you will continue to do!

Metro Magazine // Metro 100

Every year, one of our clients, Metro Magazine, puts out a feature called the Metro 100! I've been a part of this feature since the beginning-of-time, and it's always so much fun to be a part of! It's also interesting to see how with each passing year, the editorial department decides to approach the same article, but in a different way! This year was all about collaboration and submissions from various artists! Our role in the article was to photograph food carts, which landed us the cover  (Which is actually a throwback to my first-ever-cover with Metro!) We hung out with Saucy Burts and Nate Dogs one afternoon and learned all about the culture and community that is mobile-food! Also in this feature, our client Anne Kristine Lingerie is featured with a nice big image as well!

The Metro 100 issue will only be on news stands for a few more days, so make sure to check it out!

Behind The Scenes // Anne Kristine Lingerie Shoot

Yesterday, we blogged all about the launch of Anne Kristine Lingerie, in which I photographed the entire look book + editorial campaign for!

I've been wanting to blog about these for SO long, but the wait was well worth it! Here are some behind-the-scenes images from our day of shooting! As a photographer, I'm always keeping my eyes open for great, new indoor locations for future shoots. A few months back, I stopped by the Hackwith Design House to pick up some garments for the TRIBE shoot and I fell in love with their space! They were oh-so-gracious for letting us, literally, take over their home on the day of our shoot, which was absolutely the perfect location and style for this line!

I love that we never know what kind of doors will open every where we turn!

Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot!

Anne Kristine Lingerie // Campaign Launch!

I'm super excited to show you all a recent campaign I photographed for a new lingerie line!  Anne Kristine Lingerie features pieces made, specifically for a bride on her wedding night, not that it should stop anyone from buying this lovely attire for any occasion, but I loved the concept of a line that was made for such a niche market! I had so much fun photographing this line! When it comes to the commercial work, I love being a part of something new and helping that brand come to life! Congratulations to Anne on the launch of her new line! We are so proud of you! Take a moment to check out the website for the full online-boutique-store!

Ceci Style // Birds of Paradise!

The latest issue of Ceci Style is OUT and we are SO excited to show you this round!

This issue revolves around Guatemalan inspired invitations for a wedding down in Antigua! For this issue's shoot, I originally planned on using kind of a 'bad flash' technique against the textured wallpaper; however, sometimes being a good artist means switching gears in the middle of a shoot and seeing the potential for an entirely different feel! We ended up shooting this cover with the most gorgeous natural light that was poring through the windows on an overcast day in NYC....perfect light!

Ceci Style // Out of Africa!

I am SO excited to finally share a project with you that has been in the making for a couple of months! One of our clients in New York is a brilliant invitation designer, named Ceci! This woman is a power house and when she asked me to photograph a series for her online magazine, Ceci Style, I was so freaking excited! Ceci's online editorial is all about sharing the inspiration that she has when designing invitations, and it is pretty impressive! This week's inspiration is straight from Africa and I absolutely love how these images turned out! You can check out the full issue here! We also have this super-cool-behind-the-scenes video that you should watch from the shoot! Special thanks to Allan for making this little piece of magic happen!

As always, I would LOVE to credit my crew for all of their help with this shoot! There will be 3 more weeks of shoots, which will be released on Tuesdays, so keep your eye out to see what else we did!

Ceci Style - Behind the Scenes Video!!

TRIBE

First off, let me start by saying that I am SO excited about this shoot! About a month ago, I separated my fashion portfolios between Fashion Editorial and Fashion Lifestyle, and I realized that I had WAY more editorial, in studio work than lifestyle imagery. So, in an effort to pump up the lifestyle side, I have been putting together a few tests to bulk up that side of my work! Dreaming up a concept is so much fun and this past winter, I was introduced to Hackwith Design House...and ever since then, I have wanted so badly to use their clothing in a shoot! Through the power of twitter, I was also introduced to Chris Chookiatsirichai, who is an amazing tribal jewelery artist! Overall, we had SUCH an amazing team that brought this vision to life!

Enjoy!
